Spring is finally here, bringing a breath of fresh air to your work wardrobe. Whether you’re back in the office or splitting your time between home and professional spaces, this season’s workwear trends offer the perfect balance of sophistication, comfort and style.

Since you already have enough on your plate, we identified the top spring work outfits pieces so you don’t have to. Here are the key trends and practical styling advice to help you effortlessly navigate spring with confidence and flair. Let’s do it!

Spring Color Palette for Work

Spring is synonymous with fresh and vibrant colors, but navigating bold hues in a professional setting requires balance. The perfect spring business casual palette blends trending pastels for spring—blush, butter yellow and baby blue—with grounded neutrals like khaki, cream and black. Some of our favorite pieces for this season feature a muted spring color palette. “A light, textured blazer in a soft pastel hue paired with cream ballet flats embraces the freshness of spring,” suggests Stylist Erin. Make that pastel moment sing with a flowy blouse in a matching tone paired back to some neutral, tailored khaki trousers.

Your Staple: Wide-leg Pants

Wide-leg pants are having a major moment—and with good reason. “Wide-leg pants’ streamlined shape makes them incredibly versatile,” notes Stylist Landess. They flatter all body types while maintaining a polished, professional appearance.

High-waisted wide-leg styles are great to elongate your silhouette. Pair them with tucked-in tops or cropped jackets to emphasize your waistline and keep proportions balanced. Stylist Landess’ top pairing: “Wear a light-ribbed knit sweater and add a cropped blazer for those cool spring mornings.”

When choosing wide-leg pants, go for structured fabrics to maintain a professional look. Wool blends, linen or high-quality cotton are ideal. For more of a business casual dress code, try jeans with a wide-leg silhouette. Dark washes for the office are always a yes.

Refreshed Spring Work Layers

Your favorite classics are getting a fresh spring upgrade. “This season, try styles like cropped trench coats, longline vests and pop-of-color blazers,” Erin mentions. Cropped trench coats add sophistication to dresses and skirts, while the proportions of the longline vests work beautifully with trousers or midi skirts. These pieces effortlessly elevate your professional attire and are ideal layering pieces for transitional spring weather.

Another tip from Stylist Landess: “Swap heavier textures for lighter fabrics like linen or cotton blends. A blazer in a light print or soft color can instantly spring-ify your look.”

“This season, try styles like cropped trench coats, longline vests and pop-of-color blazers.”

Spring Is For Skirts

There are so many great skirt options this season. First up: The pencil skirt, always a classic, sleek option. Pair yours with a tucked-in blouse or lightweight knit, and finish with a structured blazer or cropped jacket to define your waistline and create a polished silhouette.

“Flowy midi skirts are a spring office must—try a style with polished pleating to elevate your look,” Landess suggests. She continues, “Pair with a knit poplin shirt or a fitted ribbed knit top for a breezy, put-together look.”

Textured + pointelle Knits Tops

While classic button-down shirts remain wardrobe staples, textured and pointelle knits are a fresh alternative for spring. What is a pointelle knit? It’s a lightweight, breathable knit that features intricate patterns made up of tiny holes—it creates a lightweight, almost breezy feel that’s ideal for the springtime.

Pointelle knit tops or sweaters look great with lots of skirts and trousers. But here’s how we’re styling ours: Start with a cream-colored short sleeve Pointelle, add high-waisted navy wide-leg pants and accessorize with delicate silver jewelry and sleek pointed flats.

Finish With Accessories

Accessories complete any spring work outfit, and this season calls for timeless and polished selections. Opt for footwear that blends comfort with style—ballet flats, stylish loafers and block or kitten heels are all excellent choices. Stylist Erin suggests, “Step into spring with something fun like a trending animal print shoe.”

Keep handbags structured and elegant, such as versatile classic totes in neutral colors like beige, tan or black. When it comes to your computer, don’t settle for basic. “A woven or canvas laptop sleeve tote adds the perfect seasonal touch, blending style with functionality,” says Stylist Erin.

When it comes to jewelry, silver pieces provide a contemporary yet timeless feel, pairing beautifully with spring’s fresh color palette. Minimalist hoops, delicate necklaces or simple bracelets add a finishing touch to your business casual looks for spring.

Whether you’re incorporating just one or a handful of these spring trends for work, these tips will help you feel confident and effortlessly put together throughout the season.

Pregnancy is a journey filled with excitement, change, and—let’s be honest—a little wardrobe confusion. As your body transforms, so does your approach to fashion. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. And, you can still stay true to your own personal style. Pregnancy fashion and maternity outfits have come a long way in recent years. Finding the right pregnancy styles doesn’t have to be difficult.

Whether you’re embracing the trends, curating a pregnancy capsule wardrobe or finding new ways to dress for each trimester, our Stylists here to guide you through it all. Let’s dive into the best ways to dress confidently throughout pregnancy and beyond!

Pregnancy Capsule Wardrobe: Staples + Smart Investments

Luckily, there are more options than ever when it comes to maternity clothing, and pieces that can correspond with your style. In reality, your maternity outfits will be a mix of staples from your existing wardrobe, and reliable maternity wear essentials

When it comes to maternity fashion, a solid foundation is key. There are maternity styles that will make dressing for your new body so much easier. Some essentials? Stretchy and supportive maternity leggings, pants and jeans will be absolute lifesavers. These necessities adapt to your growing belly and will likely be on heavy rotation throughout your pregnancy.

Beyond the basics, think long term. We suggest investing in versatile pieces that work before, during and after pregnancy—like a classic denim jacket, flowy button-down or wrap dresses. Pregnancy is temporary, but your wardrobe doesn’t have to be. Choosing adaptable pieces ensures you’ll get the most out of your wardrobe, bump or no bump.

Stylist Dania’s tip: “Consider neutrals for leggings, jeans, t-shirts, tanks and so on.” Maxi dresses, oversized button-downs and breathable knitwear can also be styled in multiple ways, making them maternity friendly yet timeless.

Maternity Fashion Trends

Gone are the days of drab maternity clothes. Because, yes, you can still follow the trends! Your pregnancy wardrobe can still be stylish when you integrate a few key trending pieces. Here’s a few of our favorite outfits that hit on the recent trends:

That boho aesthetic you’re seeing everywhere? You can do that. “A flowy maxi dress gives bump-friendly movement,” says Stylist Michelle, “just add a denim jacket for dimension.”

For more of an everyday, athleisure look, Stylist Dania suggests this pregnancy-friendly outfit: “Stretchy maternity biker shorts and an oversized graphic tee with chunky sneakers and a crossbody bag give a laid-back, modern look with a sporty edge.” On trend, yet so practical.

Mix and match these trends with staple comfort pieces from your closet to maintain your unique style. An open blazer or a retro sneaker can tie your whole look together—baby bump and all.

Embrace the Bump

Why hide it when you can flaunt it? Body-con and stretchy styles highlight your growing belly while keeping you ultra-comfortable. Stylist Michelle says, “Don’t be afraid to wear fitted tops and leggings to embrace the bump!” Wrap dresses, ribbed knit dresses and ruched tops can also be flattering.

Remember, confidence is the best accessory—so rock that bump with pride! When choosing fabrics, Stylist Michelle suggests, “Garments with stretch will be your best friend. As late spring and summer approach, opt for breathable materials. Natural fibers like cotton and linen would be the cherry on top.”

Wardrobe Evolution: Dressing for Each Trimester

Each trimester comes with unique challenges and changes, and dressing accordingly can make a huge difference.

  • First Trimester Outfits: Comfort is key! A lot of your current comfy wardrobe staples will likely be utilized at this stage. Plus, you may have not announced your pregnancy to everyone just yet. Staple pieces like flowy tops, high-waisted leggings and empire waist dresses can accommodate your early body shifts. Stylist Dania adds, “For your first trimester, opt for oversized tops or a loose A-line dress.”

  • Second Trimester Outfits: Your bump is making its debut! Stylist Dania continues, “As you start to show in your second trimester, reach out to maternity-friendly bottoms and tops with stretch.” Stretchy maternity jeans with elastic panels, ribbed midi dresses and wrap tops offer flexibility and room to grow.

Wondering what type of stretchy maternity jeans is for you? It’s really all up to personal preference. We’ve decoded the top three waistbands you’ll often find in maternity jeans:

  1. Under-belly waistband: An elastic band just at the top of your jeans that as the name suggests, sits right under the belly. This style helps to provide firm support.
  2. Side-stretch panels: These jean styles feature stretchy side panels on either side that expand with your belly. This style tends to look most similar to your regular jeans but sits a bit lower on the hips for optimal comfort.
  3. Over-belly waistband: Featuring a soft fabric waistband that covers over your bump—great for more snug belly support, and if you prefer your jeans to sit higher.

  • Third Trimester Outfits: Prioritize function and comfort. Slip-on shoes, breathable maternity dresses and easy-on easy-off cardigans will be your best friends. Because, hello hormones—your temperature regulation can vary when pregnant. “As for your last, comfort will be key. This will be your time to focus on breathable fabrics and garments with stretch,” says Dania.

Postpartum Clothing: Dressing for the New You

Congratulations, you did it! Now, your body (and lifestyle) has changed again, and finding your style post-baby can feel overwhelming. It’s important to really give yourself a lot of grace and time during this period.

This is often referred to as the “Fourth Trimester” and it’s key to acknowledge your body is still undergoing lots of differences. You’ll likely still rely on those pregnancy style staples at this time: your favorite pair of stretchy maternity leggings or jeans and flowy, loose fitting tops.

If you’re nursing or pumping, opt for easy access tops such as halter necks, looser fits, button-downs, off-the-shoulder or wide-neck styles. Plus, having easy layers like cardigans, hoodies or wraps provide easy coverage when nursing in public.

When going back to work, try thinking ahead of what will make you feel good and comfortable. Having a plan or go-to outfit combination helps mitigate any style stress. As always, your Stylist is here to help. One of Stylist Michelle’s favorite postpartum work outfit?: “Wide-leg trousers and a looser blouse like a button-down offer comfort while maintaining a put-together look for meetings or office settings.” She continues by suggesting, “Add a lightweight cardigan to regulate temperature changes, loafers for comfort and a tote bag to carry baby items on the go.”

Whether you’re going back to the office or working on rediscovering your personal style, the key is to prioritize comfort while embracing pieces that make you feel good. And remember, your Stylist is here to help as you transition into this new chapter.

The Takeaway

Pregnancy style doesn’t have to be limiting—it can be an opportunity to redefine your wardrobe in a way that is stylish, comfortable and uniquely you. Whether you’re mixing in trends, building a capsule wardrobe or dressing for each trimester, the key is to wear what makes you feel confident. After a year of your body changing, you could have a new body than when you started. And no matter where you are in your journey, we’re here to make sure you look (and feel) amazing every step of the way!

find the perfect dress

Let’s be honest—shopping for the perfect dress can sometimes feel like a never-ending game of trial and error. One’s too long, another’s too tight and that one that looked amazing on the mannequin? Yeah, not so much. But fear not! The secret to finding your perfect dress isn’t luck…it’s knowing what works for you. Because yes, the perfect dress does exist.

From waistlines that highlight your best features to hemlines that hit just right, our Stylists have your new go-to guide to walk you through everything you need to know. So, let’s get into it!

Types of dress waistlines

Where the waist falls on a dress determines a lot about the fit, shape and styling of a dress. From the high profile of an empire to the low-riding drop-waist style and beyond, how do you know which is right for you? We’ve got the details to help you figure it out.

woman in empire waist woman in a-line dress woman in drop waist dress

Empire-waist dress

Empire dresses have been around since 1815 and are making a comeback (Bridgerton, anyone?). Empire dresses have a fitted bodice, then fall loosely from the bust down. This style is designed to highlight a woman’s décolletage (that’s fashion talk for “neckline”) and flow freely through the gathered skirt. This style is a favorite for just about everyone.

A-line dress

The term “A-line dress” debuted with Christian Dior’s 1955 spring collection—and we’ve been obsessed with this simple silhouette ever since. A-line dresses are fitted from shoulders to your waist, and then gradually flare out to the hem.

The magic in this shape is that it’s versatile: it pairs well underneath a blazer or cardigan for work, with heels and statement jewels for a more formal look—even with sneakers and a crossbody bag for a casual feel. This dress is often considered the most universal dress shape, and it’s a timeless piece for any wardrobe. Stylist Erin agrees: “We love an A-Line dress because this silhouette is an easy go-to for all occasions.”

Drop-waist dress

The drop-waist dress came to fashion in the 1920s, when the dress of the day had a low belt or cinch and a hemline between the ankle and knee. The name comes from the location of the waist being “dropped” below your natural waist, often at the hip level with a straight-cut designed to give the illusion of an elongated waist. The key to a proper fit for a drop-waist dress? Look for one that lightly skims the body.

Find your favorite dress style

Now that you’ve got a handle on the waistline, let’s look at dress shape and style. There are a lot of great dress options out there, from casual to workwear to formal. To help you navigate, our Stylists have narrowed it down to their top 5 favorite dress styles to add to your rotation. Bookmark this page to refer to when shopping, or request your fave styles in a Fix and see what your Stylist recommends for you!

fit and flare dress

What is a fit + flare dress?

Cue the confetti drop: The fit-and-flare dress is a timeless piece that looks great on everyone. This classic style is a variation of the A-line dress, featuring a fitted bodice and a more dramatic flare that begins just above the hips, accentuating the waist. With more flair in the flare—fitted through the bodice and flaring out right above the hip, accentuating the waist.

How to style a fit + flare dress:

Because of its balanced proportions, this dress is truly a winner for every body type. To complement this style, Stylist Erin suggests, “Pair it with a chambray or denim button-down, tie it at the waist over this style. Add a pair of ranch inspired boots (hello, Ranch Revival!) to keep it casual yet slick.”

Looking to dress this silhouette up? Erin says it’s all in the shoe choice. “A printed kitten heel in an animal print or floral pattern adds a playful touch and effortlessly elevates a solid fit-and-flare dress, bringing just the right mix of fun and sophistication.”

Accentuate the positive:

Great for showing off your bust, waist and arms

What is a slip dress?

A slip dress is sleek and minimalist, typically made from lightweight, drapey materials like silk or satin. It features thin spaghetti straps and a bias-cut, often figure-skimming silhouette.

How to style a slip dress:

Originally worn as undergarments, slip dresses have evolved into fashionable pieces popular for their effortless elegance and versatility. In the warmer months, “Let the sleek slip dress shine,” says Erin. She adds, “Elevate the look with strappy heeled sandals featuring rope or straw accents for a coastal, beachy vibe.”

But it’s not just for sunny occasions. Make the most out of your slip dress (or any dress for that matter) in the cooler months by adding some layers. Erin’s fave way to style?: “Add an oversized chunky sweater over the delicate spaghetti straps,” she continues, “Complete the outfit with your go-to minimal sneakers for a cool, laid-back aesthetic.” So fun!

Accentuate the positive:

Great for showing off your collarbone, shoulders and arms

slip dress

shift dress

What is a shift dress?

Also called a column dress, a shift is characterized by its simple, straight silhouette that hangs loosely from the shoulders with subtle swings at the knee. Easy and free to move in, the shift dress professional, comfortable and stylish—an absolute workwear essential.

How to style a shift dress:

This simple style doesn’t need much to dress it up. This is a perfect silhouette to wear at work. Stylist Erin suggests, “Pair it with opaque tights and Mary Janes. Layer it with a winter coat of the same length for parallel silhouettes and elegant simplicity.” For a casual outing, ballet flats with a denim jacket and crossbody bag will do the trick.

Accentuate the positive:

Great for showing off your arms and calves

What is a wrap dress?

This incredibly flattering style came to the spotlight in the 1970s. A wrap dress is characterized by its front closure which wraps across the body and ties at the waist, creating a V-neckline and adjustable fit.

How to style a wrap dress:

The wrap dress is known for its versatility, as it’s easy to style up or down. “The V-neckline is optimal for stacking necklaces. A heeled bootie in patent leather or a dressy suede pump elevates this belted beauty,” says Erin.

Don’t be afraid to go for the bold. This iconic silhouette gets even better in bright patterns or color. “ Ideal for a girls’ trip, it frees up extra suitcase space—perfect for fitting in those vibrant flip-flops for a patio brunch or piazza lunch,” adds Erin.

wrap dress
sheath dress

What is a sheath dress?

The sheath dress is form-fitting and often features a straight or slightly tapered shape. It typically falls slightly above the knee, exuding sophistication and elegance. This elevated style is great for date nights, cocktail parties and everything in between.

How to style a sheath dress:

When styling a sheath dress, make the most of the style’s tapered shape and opt for classic cocktail accessories, such as heels and a clutch. “Nothing says classic sophistication like a pearl necklace and a slingback pump that mirrors the color of your sheath dress,” says Stylist Erin. She adds “Embellished shoes with jewels, bows or ruffles add even more character for this dress to enter into a cocktail role, for happy hour or evening events after work.”

Accentuate the positive:

Great for showing off shoulders and arms

Find your ideal dress length

From sky-high to floor-grazing, get a (ahem!) leg up on which lengths you’ll love. Our Stylist Erin gives her best tips to help you feel confident branching out to new heights.

Mini dress length

The traditional rule of thumb for a mini dress is that it should be “fingertip length,” where your fingers hit your thighs when your arms are straight down at your sides—this is a practical way to make sure you have enough skirt to sit on. The perfect accompaniments: “A cropped jacket and sneakers will keep this style cool and casual, while strappy heels and bold accessories will glamorize any occasion,” says Stylist Erin.

Want to buck tradition? Go as short as you like and layer over cheeky bike shorts or opaque tights and pair with tall boots. If you love showing off your legs and opt for the fun-flirty feel, make your dress a mini.

Knee-length dress

The classic knee-length dress is self-defining: a dress with a hemline designed to fall right at the wearer’s knees. Stylist Erin mentions, “The knee-length dress is the perfect option to keep things sophisticated in the office. Try this style paired with a blazer to elevate your look instantly.”  It also keeps you comfortable with easy-breezy movement in the skirt.

Midi dress length

Midi dresses are any length that falls below the knee but above the ankle. Midi dresses are a versatile piece that deserve a spot in every wardrobe. Stylist Erin notes, “The midi style is a great silhouette to dress down for a more casual look. Try it paired with a denim jacket and sandals for that relaxed touch.”

Maxi dress length

The maxi dress falls between the wearer’s ankle and the floor to create a long, flowing look. Great news: this length looks awesome on every body type and is as comfortable as it gets. “Lean into a boho vibe by shopping this style in floral prints and earthy tones,” advises Stylist Erin.

The maxi is a perfect summer dress, as the light fabric lets the breeze flow. It’ll also serve you well in cooler temps when paired with a jean jacket or sweater (add boots and tights and take it right through winter). Add a platform sandal to keep the dress hem from dragging and your style on point.

At times, your petite curvy frame can get lost with certain silhouettes. Boxy styles tend to hide your curves or shorten your frame. The goal is to highlight your shape, here’s how: Opt for fitted silhouettes that lend themselves to showing off your curves.

Stylist Michelle’s top tip? “Go monochrome for a lengthening effect. Dressing in one color creates an uninterrupted vertical line, making you look taller.” She continues, “Use varying shades and textures within the same color family to add visual interest.” There’s a reason all-black is a classic look. Not only does a dark, tonal outfit create the illusion of a streamlined silhouette—it also avoids breaking up your frame.

Monochrome palettes are your new style superpower, so wear dark colors like navy and black togetherIf you’re feeling adventurous, try a head-to-toe color like burgundy, forest green or even our color of the year, Wisteria.

“Go monochrome for a lengthening effect” –Michelle, Stylist

Dress to impress

The best petite curvy dress? A wrap dress. They immediately define your waist and flatter your curves without adding any excess bulk in fabric. Another great option is a fit and flare style. As the name suggests, this type of dress is more fitted on the upper body, and then flares out at the skirt—creating an hourglass silhouette. So flattering!

For most dresses, we suggest a knee length or shorter dress—but if you’re a maxi lover, no problem! Opt for a curve-skimming bodycon style or a dress that features an asymmetrical or high-low hem. This way your shape is celebrated in a petite curvy dress—as it should be!

“Wrap dresses define your waist and flatter your curves” –Michelle, Stylist

For everyday to dressy tops, we suggest a V-neck style for dressing a large bust. V-necks draw the eye down to create a lengthening effect. As mentioned, go for a fitted style to avoid any gaping or excess fabric at the chest. We suggest a lightweight knit or woven top that hugs the figure, but isn’t too bulky in fabrication.

“Cropped silhouettes are key—and they highlight your waist,” says Stylist Michelle. Try structured styles that hit just above the hips to accentuate your curves and create a balanced look.

Stylist Michelle adds, “Avoid excess fabric in sleeves that can shorten your overall frame.” Examples would be balloon sleeves, or a bat-wing style. Instead look for  ¾ length sleeves or full-length sleeves that stop at right at your wrist.

woman elongating self with jeans

Way to elongate with petite curvy jeans

Styling shorter legs and torso is a common challenge.  The solution: Look for jeans that have a higher waist to (you guessed it) accentuate your waist and define your curves. The high rise will elongate your legs, balancing your proportions.

Another petite curvy jeans style? Wide-leg pants can also create the illusion of longer legs. Ensure the hem barely skims the top of your shoes for a streamlined look. Michelle’s important reminder for petite curvy jeans: “If you’ve experienced pants that bunch at the ankles when shopping, find the perfect inseam length by exploring petite cuts and the best rise that sits naturally on your waist.”

You can also take advantage of the cropped denim fad—it’s totally on-trend and tailor-free. Work smarter not harder!

“Find the perfect inseam length by exploring petite cuts and the best rise that sits naturally on your waist” –Michelle, Stylist

No matter what type of petite frame you have, your Stylist has you covered. They’ll show you how to style a petite curvy body for your unique shape, so you never have to self-hem a pair of pants again. Rejoice! The most important takeaway? Always wear what you like and what you feel good in. That’s the biggest style tip for every and any body type.

It’s official: spring is just around the corner. With the change of seasons, it’s the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe and add a little excitement to your everyday style. With the constant buzz around women’s fashion trends in 2025, we know it can sometimes feel overwhelming to know where to start. The good news? You don’t have to overhaul your entire closet every season.

Our expert team of Stylists identified 5 key trends that are not only easy to wear this spring, but can also work for  your wardrobe for years to come. Whether you’re a trendsetter or just looking to dip your toes into something new, these spring-ready trends will be everywhere this season.

So, let’s do it! Here’s how to update your wardrobe with our Stylists’ top 5 women’s spring fashion trends for 2025.

boho outfits for women in the spring

Big Boho Vibes

Boho is sooo back. Prepare to see lots of casual, heritage styles mixed and matched with hints of rustic charm. This spring trend is the perfect way to liven up your everyday casual looks. Stylist Michelle’s favorite way to style this look?: “Create flowing silhouettes by wearing midi and maxi dresses with ruffles or tiered layers.” Adding a pair of cowboy or knee-high boots helps you perfectly nail this eclectic look. The key to nailing this trend is to balance those soft touches with rugged accessories.

If the overt boho-cowboy vibe isn’t your thing, no worries. You can still lean in with a softer approach to this trend. Stylist Michelle suggests, “Play with textures, like pairing denim with delicate lace, chiffon or dainty trim.” Try an outfit featuring a flouncy blouse grounded with a pair of wide-leg jeans and a strappy wedged shoe.

Denim for Days

Doing a spring closet refresh this season? Don’t forget to check your denim drawer. If you’re wondering where to start with new jeans, we have our eye on three silhouettes we think you’ll love.

Wide leg: so versatile, and looks amazing on every body type. “Wide-leg cuts continue to trend this season—dress them up in heels or down with sneaks,” notes Stylist Michelle. For an elevated everyday look, pair your wide-leg denim with a feminine, flowy blouse and finish your outfit with some sleek booties.

Chunky cuffs: they’re like a built-in accessory that adds instant interest to any denim look. For a casual-sporty outfit, wear this trending denim style with a fitted bodysuit and add your favorite layer, like a comfy hoodie or chill neutral bomber. Go full sports mode with a nice pair of retro-looking sneaks and you’re all set.

Barrel leg: talk about a major cool factor. This style is big for women’s fashion trends in 2025. This jean balloons outward in a harem-pant silhouette through the thigh and leg, then tapers in at the ankle. The key to making this denim cut work is all about balance. For barrel leg jeans, we recommend keeping the top half more structured or minimalist for contrast. “You can never go wrong with the fitted tee and blazer pairing,” says Michelle.

Spring into Workwear

This season, don’t forget to show your workwear some love, too! Elevated outer layers like vests, sleek blazers and cropped trenches will be your office spring wardrobe essentials

“Trench coats are a timeless piece for unpredictable spring weather,” suggests Stylist Michelle, “try pastel or bold shades to update the classic look.” This spring is all about those fun, light colors anchored with neutrals like khaki, creams and black. For example, pair your fresh-colored trench with your fave essentials: a sleek camisole, streamlined black slacks and some neutral flats. “Loafers and ballet flats are the perfect chic yet comfy office shoe options,” Michelle adds.

For when the weather finally heats up, try layering a vest or sleeveless blazer over your favorite blouse. Then, pair it with a flowing skirt in a spring-ready shade—like blush, mint green or our color of the year, Wisteria. Punctuate your look with some wearable heels—ready for the commute or post-work happy hour.

“Trench coats are a timeless piece for unpredictable spring weather. Try pastel or bold shades to update the classic look,” –Michelle, Stylist

spring activewear outfits for women

Ready, Set, Sport

Whether you’re hitting the court, or just want to look like it, this preppy aesthetic is the new go-to for spring athleisure. “It’s all about elevated comfort pieces for everyday wear,” says Stylist Michelle. An easy-to-replicate outfit formula: striped tee layered under a quarter-zip sweatshirt, athletic skort and fun-colored sneakers to tie it together.

If you’re more into a one-and-done option, go for a sporty dress and throw on a cardi over top. “I love cardigans for transitioning between cooler mornings and warmer afternoons,” says Michelle. Wear it when it’s chillier, and you can always tie it around your shoulders if things heat up. Plus, it really adds to that country club look.

frill dress outfits for women springtime

For the Frill of It

Dainty dresses, ruffled skirts and feminine details are here for spring 2025. It’s that time of year for weddings, baby showers, graduations and more. Which means, it’s the perfect excuse for a brand-new dress. A great go-to is a midi slip dress in a spring pastel, polka dot or floral print. “Make a statement in bold large florals or go understated in a ditsy print,” suggests Stylist Michelle. Don’t want your dress to be one-time only use? We totally get it. “Style your slip dresses with a light cardigan or blazer for a chic daytime look,” says Michelle.

Another daytime outfit idea: An eyelet detailed maxi, a soft sweater shirt and strappy sandals. And, don’t forget to accessorize! Be on the lookout for embellished shoes, pretty clutches, stoned jewelry or bangles to accessorize your spring outfits.

Have a date coming up? There’s something really exciting about getting ready for a planned occasion with that special someone. Of course, a big part of that is deciding what to wear. Let’s get into it! Here’s our list of 6 date night outfits for any and every outing.

romantic dinner date night outfit

Romantic Dinner Reservation

Excited to try out the new town hot spot? Or thrilled to hit up your sweet little go-to—you know, the one where you’re greeted with: “The usual?” No matter where the plan takes you, a dinner reservation is the perfect time to debut that new piece you’ve been dying to wear.

Stylist Michelle’s favorite dinner date outfit: “A sleek dress with statement earrings or heels—it’s a timeless look.” You really can never go wrong with a great one-and-done dress. Try out a fun color or pattern, or, when in doubt, a LBD (little black dress) is a classic. Not into dresses? No prob. A sleek bodysuit and trousers combo is a date-worthy option, too.

Accessorizing is just as important as ordering right. “Elevate your look with thoughtful details that feel authentically you,” says Stylist Michelle. Make a statement with accents like animal-print or sparkling shoes, faux leather jackets, bold earrings or a chic little bag. Then you’re all set. And remember, getting dessert is a non-negotiable.

“Elevate your look with thoughtful details that feel authentically you” -Michelle, Stylist

Date Day

Who says dates are only for nighttime? Coffee and brunch dates are absolutely underrated. For your daytime rendez-vous, Stylist Michelle suggests, “Go for a midi skirt with sneakers for an easy yet stylish outfit.”

In our opinion, the midi skirt is as underrated as a day date. And, it’s so easy to dress up or down. In this case, dress it down with a classic tee and add on some layers like a button-down and bomber. Alternatively, “Add a leather jacket or oversized blazer for a touch of casual edge,” says Michelle.

Sneakers are the perfect finishing touch. There are so many great choices, but right now, we’re especially loving retro-looking sneaks (they go with everything). Another look we love? A fun, colorful sneaker to add a bold pop against a neutral-toned outfit. Think: beige shacket, tonal tee, your favorite jeans and some bright red sneakers. Practical yet super fun—just like your day date.

“Go for a midi skirt with sneakers for an easy yet stylish outfit.” -Michelle, Stylist

Movie night date outfit for women

Night at the Movies

Ah, the movie date. It’s a classic for a reason. There’s something about a buttery popcorn and crispy soda on a reclining seat that just hits different. Plus, you can always count on the did-you-like-it conversation post credits. Stylist Michelle notes it’s the perfect time to “relax, unwind and look effortlessly put-together,” and we couldn’t agree more. But, what to wear?

It’s all about balance for this stylish date night outfit—something that’s equal parts comfortable and really cute. An undeniable go-to from Stylist Michelle: “Wide-leg jeans paired with a fitted tee and a denim jacket for a touch of layering.”

Another movie date night outfit? Dress things up with a feminine blouse in a fun print. Jeans are still a classic essential, but a trending cuff style or barrel-leg silhouette makes them feel fresh. Finish off with some easy slip-on sandals, suede booties or a clean sneaker. That’s a style wrap.

“Relax, unwind and look effortlessly put-together” -Michelle, Stylist

activewear date night outfit

Ready for Anything

Date night outfits in 2025 can look a little different than usual. For example, if you’re more into that adrenaline rush, you can try axe throwing, escape rooms and hikes…and look good while you’re at it. Stylist Michelle offers the important reminder: “Be ready for anything without sacrificing style.”

Her outfit advice? “Wear stylish yet functional activewear, such as high-waisted leggings and a cropped hoodie.” In the cooler months, pair it with a puffer jacket just in case you feel a chill. You can always tie your hoodie around your waist if needed.

Activewear is the best time to try out a fresh color combo like peach and grey, or navy and cream. We always love a monochrome matching set moment, too. It looks like you put in a ton of effort, even if it only took a few seconds to pull it together.

“Comfortable shoes, like sleek hiking boots or trendy trainers, are a must,” says Stylist Michelle. Nothing like feeling the love by getting your heart pumping.

“Be ready for anything without sacrificing style.” -Michelle, Stylist

cozy date night outfit for women

Cozy Night In

Dates are truly all about quality time. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of going out is just not the vibe—we get it. Food delivery, good TV and a cuddle sesh is a perfectly acceptable (and romantic) date, too.

Your look can go one of two ways: ultra-comfy cozy or leveled-up lounge. For the former option, Stylist Michelle recommends “Cozy joggers and an oversized sweatshirt for a relaxed look.” And to complete the look: “Slipper booties keep things warm and toasty.” This outfit pairs perfectly with a fireside hot cup of cocoa for two.

Want to level up your chill outfit for date night? Get a comfy-yet-polished look with a plush sweater and a printed jacket. Fair Isle knits are a certified winter classic. Wear it with your favorite pair of perfect-fitting jeans and some lined lug-sole booties. This outfit is ready to run the leaderboard in any game.

“Relax, unwind and look effortlessly put-together” -Michelle, Stylist

Rocking Out

A shared interest of the same music is its very own love language. Stylist Michelle’s outfit for showing up and showing out: “A metallic cami with classic denim and a leather moto jacket and boots for that rocker twist.” If it’s more a jazz band vibe, swap the boots for sleek stilettos for a more polished look. Talk about hitting all the right notes.

More of a casual concert? You can’t go wrong with a vintage-inspired tee (or even band merch). Switch things up with a slip skirt—animal print is current and it adds the perfect amount of edge. Finish things off with a trusty sneaker so you can dance all night long.

One of the themes we hear most frequently from our clients is how difficult it can be to find clothes that fit—and we mean really fit. We all want clothes that highlight and amplify our best features, and a great fit can boost our confidence as we step out into the world. And, if you’re someone with a rectangular body shape, you may encounter some dressing challenges unique to this silhouette.

Thankfully, our team of Stitch Fix Stylists is armed with years of experience styling clients with every body type, from hourglass figures to triangle body shapes and more. They’re experts on helping you find the perfect  outfits for a rectangle body shape, and they’ll be with you every step of the way on your hunt for those perfect pieces that make you look and feel your best.

how to dress rectangle shaped bodies

Back in the dark ages, this shape was sometimes referred to as “athletic.” Since athletes come in all shapes and sizes, these days we’re adopting a more neutral label, thus, the rectangle shape was born.

Rectangle figures look much like they sound: shoulder and hip measurements that are about the same, a straight-up-and-down waist and weight distributed pretty evenly over the body. (Still not entirely sure what your body shape actually is? Take our body shape quiz!)

Of course, every body is truly unique—this general definition is simply a starting point as we explore styling techniques for rectangle body shapes. (Spoiler alert: a great fit is key, so you’re going to hear a lot about that here.)

So, let’s break it down! Here, our Stylists’ top 5 tips for how to dress if you have a rectangle shape

Outfit for rectangle shaped body moving fabrics

1. PRO TIP: Wear staples that show off your shape—not hide it

REACH FOR: Tailored pieces, fabrics with movement, bias-cut skirts and dresses

“Tailored pieces help you show off your shape—not hide it,” says Stylist Erin. That said, when you have a rectangle body shape, it can be more challenging to find pieces that highlight your shape rather than obscuring or even swallowing it up. (Nobody wants that!)

The solution: “Opt for styles that are tailored to your body to show off your shape,” explains Stylist Erin, “soft fabrics and bias-cut (A-line) skirts and dresses, for example.” The goal is to opt for pieces that add movement without concealing your shape.

One option to show off your shape in style: a fitted moto jacket on top of a slinky, tailored dress in a gorgeous print—polished off with a great pair of strappy heels.

Some of Erin’s other fave outfit combos? For a laid-back feel, she starts with a fluid satin maxi or midi skirt layered with a denim button-down or a short-sleeve sweater—with a waist-defining, wide statement belt. For an active-chic look, she recommends a shape-draping skort or skirt with a tie-knot twist tank and a quarter-zip sweatshirt.

“Tailored pieces help you show off your shape.” –Erin, Stylist

puffed sleeve outfit for rectangle shaped body

2. PRO TIP: The perfect fit goes a long way

REACH FOR: Puffed sleeves, feminine details, broader fits, wider sleeve openings

Those of us with rectangular body shapes can often have broader shoulders and arms, making it a bit tough at times to find tops that fit comfortably and flatter the features we love.

The first step: “Enhance your rectangle shape with contrasting necklines like V, rounded, sweetheart, asymmetrical and plunging cuts,” says Stylist Erin. These bold styles show off your shape while adding charm and personality to every look.

It can be a challenge to find a flawless fit for your broad shoulders. And, as we all know, comfort is king—you want plenty of room to move freely in your clothes. Here are Erin’s, ahem, top 3 tips to find some new faves:

  1. Reach for a deeper V-neck with wider arm openings in a soft, pleated fabric.
  2. Try a fitted,“not too tight, not too loose” knit top. Designed to gently contour the body, think of it as a soft hug—comfortable and supportive, but never squeezing! Knits, cotton blends or a touch of spandex provide just the right amount of stretch.
  3. Slip into exaggerated-sleeve styles—such as tulip, flutter and puffed—drape elegantly while sitting comfortably on the shoulders.

“Enhance your rectangle shape with contrasting necklines like V, rounded, sweetheart, asymmetrical and plunging cuts.” –Erin, Stylist

tie front waistband outfit for rectangle shaped body

3. PRO TIP: Accentuate your waist

REACH FOR: Tie-front waistbands, belts, high-waisted trousers, wide-leg pants

Typically, when you have a  rectangular body shape, your waist tends to be more linear. Sometimes, it’s fun to create a little contrast and make the dimension at your waist appear more pronounced.

One simple technique is to bring the focus to your waist with eye-catching details. “Tie-front or paper-bag waistlines, wrap tops or dresses and statement belts instantly accentuate the waistline,” says Stylist Erin.

Another favorite trick for a rectangle shape: high-contrast volume. For example, wear a very fitted top tucked into a flared skirt or wide-leg jeans or pants. Or try the reverse: a voluminous, flowy boho top tucked into a slim pant. Get the look in one easy piece: the fit-and-flare dress! With any approach, a bold belt—or real one or even a playful scarf tied around the waist— punctuates the look.

4. PRO TIP: Play with different pant silhouettes to enhance your natural shape

REACH FOR: High-waisted jeans, cropped boot cuts, wide-leg and flare styles

Rectangle body shapes actually have a bit of a leg up (lol!) when it comes to experimenting with unexpected silhouettes—particularly on the bottom half of your figure. Your body’s more narrow visual effect creates a perfect palette to play with every pant shape and style under the sun. We highly recommend you go wild!

“Slim-cut or skinny jeans and trousers enhance your classic, straight silhouette,” Stylist Erin says, “but sometimes you just want to try something different.” High-waisted bottoms in boot-cut, wide-leg or flare silhouettes lend movement and volume in all the right places to create the suggestion of a few curves.

Still feeling a little uncertain about what silhouettes might work best for you? Our complete guide to finding the best jeans for your body type is a good place to start.

“Play with different bottom silhouettes to create different shapes.” — Erin, Stylist

visually balanced outfit

5. PRO TIP: Aim for an overall visual balance

REACH FOR: Statement pieces of all sorts!

As is true for any body type, stylish dressing is largely about balance—the goal is to craft a pleasing effect overall, without too much going on in any one area of your body. “A great rule of thumb is that when you bring focus to your upper body, you want to do the same on your lower body,” Stylist Erin says, “If you choose a statement piece up top, balance it out with another on the bottom.”

The tip: Use statement pieces to balance the two halves of your figure. There are many ways to achieve this.

For example, Erin says, “If you opt for a statement blouse on top—say, a feminine top with an asymmetrical neckline and ruched sleeves—reach for a simpler cropped boot-cut pant and balance the look out with a statement shoe, like a strappy metallic heel.”

When dressing from the bottom up, try an a-line skirt or a belted dress balanced by an interesting neckline or an exaggerated sleeve.

More statement suggestions from Erin: “On top, look for unexpected textures, feminine ruffles, playful prints and even accessories like bold jewelry or handkerchiefs. For bottoms, go for asymmetrical skirts, crossover and wrap skirts, unique pant silhouettes and statement heels.”

“If you choose a statement piece up top, balance it out with another on the bottom.”
— Erin, Stylist

winter clothing essentials for women

A chill has settled in the air. The fireplace is crackling. The hot cocoa is cocoa-ing. Perhaps, if you’re lucky, you’ve even seen a few glittery snowflakes flitting down from the sky. Cozy season is officially upon us—an occasion that sparks joy and excitement in the hearts of winter lovers everywhere. Oversized coats, soft sweaters, snuggly scarves—oh my!

This cozy season is all about a few key pieces that are as easy to pull off as they are current and stylish. We recruited our expert team of pro Stitch Fix Stylists to give us the rundown, and do what they do best: empower you to not only try these winter clothing trends, but to truly make them your own. The goal: To help you expand your cozy comfort zone and step out into the world with the confidence that you look, feel and are great. (Because you are!)

Check out our Stylists’ 5 favorite cozy clothing trends of the season below—and how to wear them with ease, style and aplomb.

plaid winter essentials for women

1. Play with Plaid

Plaid for winter? Groundbreaking. (For real!) This season introduces modern, maximal twists to the classic print: exaggerated and oversized versions, abstract moments, non-traditional colorways and cozy fabrications. From jackets to shirting, plaid is the stand-out print of the season—make sure the pieces are in luxurious, comfortable fabrics so you feel great as you beat the chill.

We especially love plaid on a boxy shacket (shirt-jacket hybrid) silhouette in flannel, wool and sherpa fabrications—for a look that’s as comfy as it is modern and fresh. “On a chilly day, there’s nothing better than feeling like you have a soft, cozy blanket wrapped around you,” Stylist Erin says.

And gone are the days when plaid was mainly synonymous with rugged, casual looks. You can wear today’s more innovative plaids to the office, a nice dinner and beyond. One chic plaid combo our Stylist Erin is mad for? “Pair a tartan button-up with a sleek wool pencil skirt—it’s an unexpected workwear ensemble that incorporates rugged sophistication and a nod to fall flair.”

“Plaid goes maximal this season in exaggerated, oversized versions of the timeless print.”
— Erin, Stylist

fair isle and nordic styles for women

2. Fabulous in Fair Isle

If you only invest in one cozy trend this season, make it this one. “Fair Isle  is a knitting technique characterized by multiple colors in intricate patterns,” Stylist Erin explains. Classic and cozy, Fair Isle sweaters are in style and the must-have knit of the season.

Try wearing the iconic staple over a crew or mock neck tee in a color that picks up some of the hues featured in the sweater. Feeling adventurous? Try your hand at some pattern mixing: “Layer your Fair Isle over a plaid button-up in coordinating hues,” Stylist Erin suggests.

But wait—there’s more. This timeless classic knit also gets an upgrade this season in fun statement colors—like teal, orange and maroon—and fresh silhouettes like the ¼ zip and oversized grandpa cardigan. So feel free to play with the colors you wear underneath!

“Fair Isle sweaters are the must-have knit of the season.”
— Erin, Stylist

corduroy pants for winter styles

3. Dress up—from the pants up

To balance out your favorite chunky knit sweaters, thick fleeces and flannels, and sturdy boots, go for a sleek bottom. “Experiment with mixing textures and shapes for a dynamic look,” Stylist Erin says.  That means a smooth, more structured pant fabrication or style—we like corduroy, cargo or denim.  Whether it’s cropped, wide-leg, straight or more…go for the silhouette you’re most comfortable in.”

“A favorite combo of mine is to pair a cropped, bootcut corduroy with suede boots and a chunky knit,” says Erin. “The contrast ensures you always look put-together and stylish in even your comfiest pieces.”

“Balance chunky tops with sleek bottoms in elevated fabrications and sharp silhouettes.”
— Erin, Stylist

Neutral tone styles for winter outfits

4. Try toasty tones

“Nothing says winter vibes like a good cozy brown outfit aesthetic—camels, mochas, chestnuts, chocolates and more,” says Erin. Browns are super versatile, as they pair well with non-traditional yellows and oranges, creating endless styling options. You can also add a few less traditional colors into your cozy rotation: navy, maroon and olive are must-haves.

And don’t forget that winter staple: white (yes, really!) “In a season that can be dark and cold, winter white is bright and feels refreshing. Mixing brown and white together is the outfitting equivalent of enjoying a latte in a quaint café—enveloping you in warmth and effortless charm.” A timeless duster in a gorgeous camel is the perfect third piece to throw on over a monochromatic cream look.

“Pair bolder browns with wintry creams to strike the perfect balance.”
— Erin, Stylist

winter wardrobe accessories

5. Boldly bundle in statement accessories

And last, the pièce de résistance: your favorite cozy accessory—or several. There’s nothing quite like bundling up in a giant oversized scarf, covering your delicate ears in an ultra-warm beanie, or slipping your feet into a pair of snuggly boots with the (faux) fur. “This season’s accessories offer aesthetic appeal and practical benefits: non-slip soles, durable weather-proof boots and heavy-duty knit scarves look great and perform even with daily wear,” Erin says.

The accessories make cozy winter outfits feel less like armoring up—and more like a good time. “Scarves create movement and energy in an outfit while keeping your neck nice and toasty—leopard or houndstooth print on a wrap scarf means this winter’s trends are next year’s classics,” explains Erin. The final (snow-proof!) touch: A Chelsea boot in a patent finish with a platform lug sole is easy to pull on when you’re already wearing a bunch of layers.

“Accessories make winter dressing feel less like armoring up—and more like a good time.”
— Erin, Stylist

It’s often been said: life gets better with age, and when you enter your 30s, it’s the beginning of some of your best years, ever. The seeking, searching, often confusing days of your 20s are over (bon voyage!), and you’re coming more fully into your own. You know yourself better: who you are, what you want, where you fit into the larger scheme of things. Of course, the self-discovery journey never really ends, but hopefully your 30s offer a bit more solid footing as you make your way.

Something less widely discussed? Just as your self-confidence is growing, figuring out how to dress in your 30s can feel like a bit of a challenge. Maybe you’ve matured beyond some of your wardrobe go-tos from your 20s. Maybe your body is changing, and you’re still figuring out how to best dress your current figure. Maybe you’re entering a new professional era. Or maybe you’re just tired of your closet and want a refresh that reflects your current decade. We come bearing great news: you don’t have to do it alone.

Our expert team of Stitch Fix Stylists have tons of experience helping curate outfits for women in their 30s, and they’re here to share their style wisdom.

Let’s get into our Stylists’ top 5 style tips for women in their 30s

Women in outfit for her 30s featuring staples

1. When Possible, Invest in a Few Long-lasting Staples

“Your 30s are the perfect time to invest in a strong capsule wardrobe: core, elevated pieces that you’ll wear on repeat,” says Stylist, Michelle, “We suggest building a small investment wardrobe of quality pieces, things you can wear at the office and out at night, that’ll never go out of style and will serve you for years to come.”

This isn’t about going crazy with spending—defining a budget that works for you is important. And some fun, beloved “cheap + cheerful” pieces are wardrobe essentials, as well. This is about investing in just a few core pieces you can wear again and again in a million different ways, for years to come.

Stylist Michelle’s fave investment pieces include a dressy going-out top, a great pair of jeans, timeless dress pants, the perfect little black dress and a blazer or lady jacket (a feminine, open-front jacket with a textured weave and contrast buttons).

2. Upgrade Your Denim

One of the most failproof ways to instantly elevate your entire closet is to invest in high-quality denim. Jeans are no longer just for casual, dressed-down looks—in fresh, on-trend silhouettes and darker, dressier colors, elevated jeans are appropriate for everything from a big presentation at work to a fabulous girls’ night out.

“Update your denim with versatile pieces that do double duty—pieces that work for both the office and a weekend night out,” Stylist Michelle says. “Dark denim, colored denim and even distressed denim, when done right, can work for countless occasions.”
When it comes to silhouette, Michelle’s advice is to “lean into trend-forward denim shapes—like a cropped, wide leg—to add interest to basics.”

We know jeans can be a toughie when it comes to fit, but not to worry—your personal Stitch Fix Stylist will be right by your side to help you find the perfect pair for you. (In the meantime, our guide to finding the best jeans for your body type is extra-handy.)

3. Use Color to Make a Bold Statement

Statement colors are truly a secret weapon,” reveals Stylist Michelle. We love color because it’s fun—an important part of getting dressed. But it’s also one of the easiest ways to make a bold, confident statement with your look.

“Focus on a pop of vivid color for instant eye candy,” advises Michelle, “or try a monochromatic neutral palette for that elevated ‘quiet luxury’ vibe.”

Michelle’s other fave tips: “Wear your favorite shades near your face to highlight your eyes, or accessorize with a contrast color to elevate a neutral outfit and make it stand out.”

4. Master the Proportions that Best Show Off Your Unique Shape

It’s a fact of life: as we get older, our bodies change. And it’s a beautiful thing! Our bodies serve us in countless ways, let’s honor that by being proud of and showing off our shapes. Proper fit and proportion can be magical tools in this regard: “Your unique shape serves as a canvas—clothes that fit just right are your work of art,” says Stylist, Michelle.

“Good style is ultimately about finding the right fit that celebrates your shape,” says Michelle. “Whether your body shape is hourglass, rectangle, oval or beyond, finding the right balance will ensure your looks are proportional and that your outfit always perfectly suits your shape.”

Mastering proportion play lets the world know that you really know your body, and how to dress it. A good rule of thumb for finding that perfect balance? If you’re wearing something that brings focus to your top, balance it out by also wearing something that draws the eye down toward the bottom of your shape. For example: A sleek knit tucked into a wide-leg trouser or flowy skirt, or a chunky knit paired with a slim-legged pant or pencil skirt. (Psst…our handy-dandy guide to dressing for your body type is also here to help!)

5. Know Your  Best Assets—and Flaunt Them

Along those same lines, as we come into our maturing bodies and begin to appreciate them just as they are, that’s when the fun can really begin. It might sound a bit corny, but doing regular body scans and sending some extra love to your favorite assets can really make a difference in how you dress and how you carry yourself in the world.
“The right fits, colors and cuts effortlessly highlight your best features,” Stylist Michelle says. When you know what you love best about your shape, you can strategically dress so those features stand out.

“Whether you want to highlight your fabulous legs with a high-slit skirt and heeled knee-boots, or showcase your décolletage with a V-neck that’s just the right depth,” says Michelle, “the right clothes truly help you celebrate what you love most about your body.”

And remember—it’s all about what helps you feel best. Comfort is queen, and your personal Stitch Fix Stylist is there to ensure you always feel good in your clothes. It’s true—when you feel good, you look good.

Style Forecast: Top Women’s Fashion Trends of 2025

2025 is just days away, which means our annual Style Forecast is back! Sometimes “trends” can be a little daunting—we get it. Luckily, there’s a mix of new classics and fun freshness to try, so there’s truly something for everyone. The best part: we figure out the trends, so you don’t have to.

Of course, in typical Stitch Fix fashion, our 2025 Style Forecast is based on comprehensive data and compelling insights from our Stylists and clients. We’re predicting what’s new on the style scene today, and where trends are headed. So, whether you’re a year-round style savant, or your New Year’s resolution is a much-needed wardrobe refresh, consider this your style cheat sheet.

Check out our sneak peak of all the 2025 women’s fashion trends you’ll be seeing everywhere this year (including in your own closet)!

Corner Booth: Make Plans with Elevated Night-out Style

Gone are the days of wondering what to wear out. Now, you can hit the town in elevated nighttime-ready styles that exude maximum confidence. These bold outfits for evenings out are perfect for any and every occasion—cheers to that.

“Bold prints and unexpected silhouettes  let you lean into that ‘it girl’ energy. I love to spice things up with pops of zebra, snake and leopard,” says our Stylist, Landess. Unexpected silhouettes, jewel tones and faux leather make for major statements and cheeky conversation starters. With the rise in animal print popularity, prepare to take a walk on the wide side.

Your key piece: the going-out top. 92% of our Stylists see this style as their most exciting piece of 2025! This season’s versions have extra oomph: think embellishments, cut-outs or eye-catching fabrics (hint: make it metallic). Pair these showstoppers with your quintessential favorites like high-waisted black jeans and your trusty moto jacket. It’s giving grown-up “It girl.”

Easy Street: Relaxed Silhouettes—and Attitude

It’s the year of letting loose. This trend leans into relaxed silhouettes and oversized shapes that give off an effortlessly-chill vibe. Our Stylist Missy says “Easy Street is defined by its relaxed styles, oversized shapes and that effortless slouch…so chic.” These relaxed styles for women are all about slouchy tailoring, wide-leg pants and loosely woven knits that warrant a “Wow, you look cool” compliment.

The key to a successfully styled oversized look? “Balance volume with structure,” says Stylist, Dania. The “how” behind that can feel intimidating at first, so we worked with our Stylists to develop a simple formula that makes relaxed dressing, well, easy. It’s called the Stitch Fix “1-2-1” Rule, and it’s your simple shortcut to nailing the oversized trend.

The Stitch Fix “1-2-1” Rule:
1 part fitted for a sleek foundation
2 parts slouchy to create that relaxed fit
1 part structured to punctuate the look with contrast

Focusing on balance ensures that you’re wearing the clothes, and they’re not wearing you. In action, some of our favorite “1-2-1” Rule combos are:

  1. A fitted bodysuit + wide-leg jeans + oversized button-down + streamlined sneaks
  2. A fitted knit top + relaxed cargos + chunky pullover (over the shoulders) + lug-sole boots
  3. Fitted slim jeans + chunky sweater + oversized topcoat + lug loafers

Prepare to see this trend on every block—let your Stylist know if this laid-back look is right up your street.

Ranch Revival: Country Chic meets City Cool

We’re calling it now: cowboy-core is here to stay in 2025, but now with a more sophisticated evolution. You can’t deny the data: our Western-inspired boot sales have doubled since past fall! So, dust off those bad boys and pair ‘em with an ultra-feminine dress (82% of Stylists predict that this will be a 2025 client fave).

This trend is all of the best from the women’s western wear: denim on denim, prairie-print florals, fringe and more. Take the Western-inspired fashion up a notch: “Nostalgic western prints and fabrics blend with modern silhouettes for sophisticated style,” says Stylist Lorraine.  Get that country style look and feel, without ever leaving the city. Consider it a whisper of yee-haw, if you will.

Stitch Fix Color of the Year: Wisteria

Drumroll, please…our official color of the year is: Wisteria! Inspired by the whimsical wisteria flower—posessed of a range of purple tones within its petals—there’s a shade that suits every skin tone. Per our Stylist, Michelle, “Wisteria evokes an individuality that feels both luxurious and intriguing.” From light pastels to bold saturations, this purple hue will plant its roots in your 2025 closet.

Wisteria will sprout up in all your favorite silhouettes and styles—so how do you wear it? “Make a statement in a head-to-toe look, or add as a pop of color,” says Michelle. Feeling bold? Embrace a head-to-toe monochromatic look incorporating different textures and shades. One combination we love: a silky lavender dress with a structured plum blazer and sleek lilac pumps. If a more subtle approach is more your style, that’s OK, too! Start with your go-to neutrals, and add a pop-of-purple handbag or strappy heel.

Holiday party outfits

‘Tis the season to look great (and feel even better). If you’re anything like us, you’re so ready to break out your favorite festive party looks and celebrate in style. Lucky for you, the season has plenty of party-worthy occasions (and festive outfits!) in store.

Whether you’ll be toasting at work soireés, intimate family dinners, casual gift exchanges or more formal affairs, our Stylists have assembled the ultimate guide to women’s holiday party outfits. Every dress code, any venue…you’ll be ready. So, prepare to break out allll the sparkle and shine…and find your perfect party looks right here.

outfit for office holiday party

What to Wear to an Office Holiday Party

The right office holiday party attire for women means adding a few pieces to add some merry vibes to your professional attire. Whether your company hosts a post-work event in the conference room or carries the fun to an offsite happy hour, it’s all about striking the right balance between formal and festive, looking polished all the while.

The strategy is simple: “Start your day with more simple pieces, then elevate your look for the party with a quick addition of sparkly heels, a velvety red lip, or a suede handbag,” says Stylist Landess.

For your base, stick to your everyday look. A pleated skirt or a wide-leg trouser and blouse will take you through the day in style. When it’s time to party, add a show-stopping statement piece—we like a velvet blazer or metallic moto jacket for those edgy, festive vibes. To finish the look, a metallic shoe or sparkling jewelry is always a good idea.

Still unsure of how to get that office party-ready style? Your Stylist can help! Schedule a Fix for everything you need to go from work to wonder-full.

outfit for holiday dinner party

What to Wear to a Holiday Dinner Party

Whether it’s a cozy family gathering or an upscale soirée, your outfit sets the tone for the evening. Comfort is key for enjoying the feast, but looking festive is just as important—after all, a little extra sparkle never hurt!

When you think of a classic holiday party outfit, it’s a dress, right? A timeless black, burgundy or green holiday party dress is always an easy, festive favorite (bonus points for sparkle). For intimate gatherings, try a soft knit sweater-dress or a flowy midi for a relaxed yet refined look.

Want to shake things up a bit? Our Stylist Landess suggests swapping the traditional dress for trending leopard-print pants paired with a sexy skin-tight bodysuit to spice things up.

In milder climates, strappy sandals work beautifully. Party-goers in colder regions can try sandals over opaque tights for a bold accent. Alternately, chic knee-high boots are stylish and warm. Finish with seasonal touches like glam jewelry plus a chic shoulder bag to keep essentials close during hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

outfit for casual holiday party

What to Wear to a Casual Holiday Party

Holiday party attire has embraced a more relaxed vibe in recent years, so you don’t have to choose between looking festive and feeling comfortable. From gift exchanges to happy hours, low-key celebrations are a seasonal staple—and we’ve got you covered, from head to toe.

For an effortless holiday or Christmas party outfit, start with a slip skirt. “Slip skirts are my go-to must-have pieces for the colder months, just add a sweater and heeled booties and you have such a put-together and comfortable look,” says our Stylist Landess. This versatile piece is a holiday hero, pairing beautifully with almost all textures. We love to style it with a cashmere t-shirt for minimalist luxury, or add contrast (and warmth!) with a rustic sweater.

If skirts aren’t your style, the classic “jeans and a going-out top” combo never disappoints. Wear just-right jeans with a silky blouse for a touch of glam. Or pair a high-waisted, wide-leg jean with a slightly-cropped cardigan for a cozy touch.

The holiday season is also the perfect time to let your shoes and accessories shine— and we mean literally. Metallic Mary Janes or glossy patent boots match the holiday mood, and statement earrings or a velvet clutch add extra flair. Not a fan of sparkle? A bold red lipstick can transform any outfit into a festive masterpiece.

Whatever you choose, keep it comfy, stylish and so-you.

outfit for formal holiday party

What to Wear to a Formal Holiday Party

We love any excuse to get a little fancy, and the season’s swanky soireés and glam holiday galas are the perfect opportunity to pull out all the stops.

A formal holiday party dress is always perfect for picture-ready looks. When it comes to a formal Hanukkah or Christmas gathering, or even New Year’s Eve dress ideas, fur, feathers and anything that sparkles or shimmers are showstoppers. To make your entrance over-the-top dazzling, look for sleek silhouettes, bold hues or all-over sequins and shine.

Prefer understated chic? “A neutral monochromatic look, like a denim jacket with your favorite matching jeans, is the look for you,” says Stylist Landess. Put your own spin on the demure look with luxe fabrics like velvet and satin, and subtle details like kitten heels with a bow.

For that extra special finishing piece, reach for an elegant topper like a faux fur jacket or sleek blazer to keep cozy while looking fab. Pull it all together with bold jewelry, a shimmery purse and a glass of something bubbly—or whatever warms you this time of year. Cheers!
